Dair did have great moments of friendship, and I feel like the romance angle is really unfair to Blair, who - as far into the season as I’ve watched or intend to - was politely pretending it wasn’t there and that Dan only liked her in a platonic way too. I’ve never seen a fight over a friendship, though two girls did fight over who got to be my brother’s fag hag once. Maybe Dan needs to become gay? Maybe Derena need to have jealousy sex (off screen, obviously, because all that hair whipping around…)?
